The 2012 Wilderness Golf League is in full swing and there were really no surprises coming out of week one.

Campbell’s Scottish Highland Golf Course was in good condition and with the weather being dry it was nice not to slosh around the course for once on opening week. I was surprised at all the ball marks on the greens that were not repaired and they only opened the course on March 30th. This is something they should monitor.

Welcome to the 2011 Season

The Wilderness Golf League started in 1990 at Pine Valley and moved to Campbell’s Scottish Highlands Golf Course in 1994. There are only 5 original Wilderness League members left and there have been many new members that have come and gone over the years but the one constant has been the great camaraderie and great golf.

We have played two out of the first three weeks in typical New England weather for early April, not at all like last year.

Week 4 Rained Out

Well it was a very soggy day at Campbells Scottish Highlands Golf Course Wednesday April 22nd and our weekly matches were postponed. We had a quorum and it was decided not to play as the course was saturated and it would have been pretty ugly out there.

At least I got to rest my knee for another week. See you all next Wednesday and first tee time should be about 4:50 PM. The Vagabonds start their season next week.
